An Industry Visit to an NGO , Deepalya School Rai Business School , Delhi conducted an Industry Visit to an NGO Deepalya for the students. The students visited the Deepalaya School in Shekh Sarai. The school is considered to be a privileged school for the underprivileged children. As told by the principle, there are around 550 students in the school who come from the nearby slum areas. The school has classes from lower KG to 8th standard. After finishing till class 8th, the students go to the government schools. The students are charged a very nominal fee. Apart from studies there are also facilities of music dance, art & craft etc. They have a knowledge centre in the building where they train the teachers. The interaction with the children was wonderful as they they sang a lovely song • Moser Baer, Noida Moser Baer, established in 1983, is the world's second largest manufacturer of Optical Storage media like CDs and DVDs. The company has also emerged as the first to market the next-generation of storage formats like Blu-ray Discs and HD DVD. Recently, the company has transformed itself from a single business into a multi-technology organization, diversifying into exciting areas of Solar Energy, Home Entertainment and IT Peripherals & Consumer Electronics. During the visit, the students of RBS Delhi, were welcomed by Mr. Sudhanshu Head-Training Department of Moser Baer. A corporate film on Moser Baer Ltd. was also shown to the students in order to make them aware about the Organization. The visit came as an opportunity to know how an organization works and deliver in order to meet the needs of the customers. |

Company: Kohinoor Biscuits, Noida An industry visit to Kohinoor Biscuits Confectionary Plant (Franchisee of Parle G) at Noida was scheduled for the students of Rai Business School, Delhi. After reaching the venue, the students were taken inside a hall where they were shown a small cartoon film on Parle. This was followed by a quiz based on the film in which the students were given gifts in return for their correct answer to any of the questions in the quiz. There was a brief talk afterwards on Parle G and various other management terms and market scenario. The students were then taken inside the plant where they were shown manufacturing of candies and toffees and how they were packed and sent for distribution. In the end, students were given a small gift by the company as a mark of remembrance. The entire visit was a good learning experience for the students. |

Company: Yamaha Motors India Ltd., Faridabad
The students of Rai Business School, Delhi visited the Faridabad plant of YAMAHA MOTORS INDIA LTD. In the beginning, students were given presentation on the YAMAHA MOTORS INDIA LTD. by the assistant manager Ms. Meenakshi Sharma and Ms. Swati Mishra. They cleared all the queries and also explained about the RX100 model. They made the students aware about certain facts of Yamaha Motors like:- • 1979 - Entered into technical collaboration with ESCORTS. • 1983 - Obtained manufacturing letter from the GOVT. OF INDIA. • 1985 -Yamaha made its initial foray into India. The presentation elaborated that India YM operates from its state-of-the-art-manufacturing units at Surajpur in Uttar Pradesh and Faridabad in Haryana and produces motorcycles both for domestic and export markets. With a strong workforce of more than 2000 employees, IYM is highly customer-driven and has a countrywide network of over 400 dealers. Presently, its product portfolio includes MT01 (1670 cc), YZF-R1 (998 cc), the all new YZF-R15 (150 cc), Gladiator Type SS & RS (125 cc), Gladiator Graffiti (125cc), G5 (106 cc), Alba (106 cc) and Crux (106 cc). It was further informed that YAMAHA was established as an "exclusive and trusted brand" of customers when they created "Kando" (touching their hearts). YAMAHA is known for their world-class products and services delivered by people having "passion for customers". Some insights into the company were also a part of the presentation like details about the capital of the Company, Import turnover, number of their employees including their dealers and vendors. Students were then taken inside the production unit, where Mr. R.C. JHA, Line Manager, explained about the manufacturing of various spare parts by automatic machine. He also showed the assembly unit where the entire female employees were working and emphasized that their efficiency was 100%. Thus, the overall visit was very informative and well-organised, whereby students gathered a lot of knowledge about the company and the girl students' were really motivated after seeing a separate girls' unit having 100% efficiency. |

Company: Sterling Tools Limited, Prithla STL, established in 1969, is a public-listed company engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of high tensile cold-forged fasteners. During the visit, the students of RBS, Delhi were taken to the manufacturing unit where they got an insight into the manufacturing process of the company. They also came to know how the unit adheres to the guidelines related to air pollution, water pollution and garbage disposal. It was a very beneficial visit for the students. |

• Company: Maruti Udyog Limited, Gurgaon During this visit, the students of RBS Delhi interacted with the employees of the company who helped them in understanding the different stages involved in the production of a car. They also came to know about the importance of time management, a technique employed by the company in order to streamline their work and avoid complicacies. The visit came as an opportunity to learn how an organisation works and delivers in order to meet the needs of its customers. |

• Company: Zee Network, Noida RBS Delhi students visited Zee Network where they were taken to various departments of the company like the studio, VSAT and the control room. The students got an insight into the entire process that is involved in telecasting a program. They also learnt how the news bulletins are prepared and broadcasted. It was a very enriching experience for the students. |

Parliament Street This industrial visit started with a presentation on 'Overview of the Exchange' given by Ms. Renu Bhandahri, Sr Manager NSE. The students were also informed about the 'Capital Markets', 'Derivative Markets' and 'NSE's Certification in Financial Markets (NCFM)' which is an online testing and certification programme. The visit gave the students an insight into the structure of stock exchange, its operations and the products traded on it. It was a fruitful experience for the students as a lot of students were motivated to enroll themselves in these programs. |

Manesar The students of Rai Business School got the opportunity to visit Dudhmansagar Dairy at Manesar. This was a very good exposure as the students came across many things that were beyond their imagination. |

Company: Moserbaer, Noida The students of Rai Business School visited the Moserbaer Plant in Sector 80, Noida. The students got an opportunity to enhance their learning by knowing about the working of the company and the production. |

• Company: Tihar Jail, Delhi Students of Rai Business visited Tihar Jail, Delhi that was an eye opener and transpired as an excellent visit for them. The entire administration was shown to the students on how the records are maintained with the help of finger print of the prisoner. CCTV functioning was also shown where all the prisoners are monitored constantly along with how they manufacture products. Video conferencing was also shown as a part of the visit to the students for better understanding. |
